I can't believe I haven't tried this place sooner since I do live in the area! The chilean sea bass was glistening and had such a nice flakiness at the top. It was the last one they had in the restaurant and the kitchen cooked it with perfection! It was a little pricey compared to other restaurants i've been to, but it was worth it.
Always see this spot from the freeway and never decided to stop until my friends birthday! Ambience was good! Very dark, romantic, intimate vibes. They had a good selection on their menu (including scallops, lamb chop, Wagyu...) Ordered their calamari, which was nothing too crazy or special in my opinion but still good! I got their filet mignon medium rare. They give you a choice of different types of potatoes or rice. I loved every bite! Meat was tender, and cooked to perfection. I was a little upset with the lava cake, there wasn't any lava oozing out :( but the flavor was still there. I do want to say, we were the last people in the restaurant and i appreciate our waitress for still attending to us, answering questions we had, and being overall hospitable.
I surprised my man w a fine dining dinner for his bday and this place met our expectations. 1. The online reservations request was a breeze. I called too just to confirm and they were very efficient in having someone call me back to confirm. 2. It is fine dining so I highly suggest dressing up. However, some people were in shorts and they were totally welcomed. Shorts and a dress shirt, for men, ok. 3. Our server was very helpful. I loved that the owner was going around to ensure everyone was having a pleasant experience. He even suggested we take our dessert to the lounge area to enjoy the live music. Music was smooth jazz/bues. 4. I love the ambiance of the restaurant. Totally romantic! Lights are dimmed, servers are dressed up, music playing in the background, candlelit dinner. 5. Food was absolutely flavorful; although, my steak was more on the well done side than medium. Not a big deal. Overall, I can't wait to come back.
Went on a Friday night, there was music which is quite romantic and place was not crowded. Food was pretty good! I loved the calamari and boyfriend enjoyed his aoli . We will visit again
